March brought many great results for TKP both at home and abroad. Our players collected titles across different age categories, while the club continued its work with children and opened its courts to new tennis players. Tournament successes, hundreds of children on the courts and a strong club community – this was the first spring month at TKP.
March confirmed that TKP players belong among the leading names in junior tennis.
The biggest success of the month came from LUKAS LÖRINČÍK, who won a top-category international U12 tournament in Vrsar, Croatia. The tournament featured 32 players from across Europe and Lukas convincingly defeated Austria's David Richter in the final 6:3 6:0.
Excellent form was also shown by ADAMOVIĆ ANDREJ, who reached the final of the international J30 U18 tournament in Frýdek-Místek. In a main draw of 32 players, he finished in second place and earned more points for the world junior rankings.
Success did not come only from international tournaments. TKP players also achieved strong results at domestic events across different age categories. PATRÍK RAFAJ won both singles and doubles at the U12 tournament in Bratislavská Dúbravka. MATEJ MIHAL finished third in singles, while TOBI KRAUS and MARCO URVAY took third place in doubles.
Another highly successful weekend brought three titles and one final appearance. MARKO PATÚC won the U10 tournament in Banská Bystrica, PAVOL MARTIŠEK triumphed at the U14 tournament in Bratislavská Dúbravka and STELKA ŠEVCECHOVÁ together with ŠARLOTA ŠIMOVÁ won the doubles title at the U12 tournament in Spišská Nová Ves. LUKÁŠ ŠVARC finished second at the top-category "A" U18 tournament in Skalica.
Our players collected medals in all age categories. Successful tournament performances also came from VOJTĚCH ROVŇÁK, ARTUR DARNADY, MARKO BARTOVIČ, SOFIA GAŠPARÍKOVÁ, REMENÁR PETER, SEBASTIÁN ČERNÁK, MATEO HUDEC, DIANA KADLEČÍKOVÁ, NELA HLUCHÁŇOVÁ, LUKÁŠ JASENÁK, FILIP VAŠKANÍN and RICHARD KUČERA.
However, TKP is not only about tournament results. The club continues its systematic work with children. During March, TKP coaches visited physical education classes at Dudova 2 Primary School, where around 300 children from the first grade level were introduced to tennis. Another 160 children tried the tennis program during the school's open day.
Spring at TKP is also about new beginnings. The club invited children aged 6 to 10 to free training sessions where they can try tennis under the guidance of coaches.
Alongside tournaments, the club is preparing more community events. In April, players, parents and coaches will meet for the TKP spring fitness tests, followed by a parents-and-children doubles tournament and a tennis clothing exchange.
March once again showed what matters most at TKP – talented young players, honest coaching work and a community united by tennis.
