The start of the season brought an exceptionally strong January for TKP.
Marko Patúc, only 9 years old, won the Brno tournament under 12 in singles and doubles. A great start to the season confirmed his talent and courage to play against older opponents.
The biggest success of the month was recorded by Lukas Lörinčík, who became a two-time Slovak indoor champion under 12 at NTC Bratislava - in singles and doubles alongside Marek Šiška. During the entire tournament, he lost only 6 games in singles and not even one in doubles.
Other players also achieved excellent results. Jonáš Kraus took 4th place at the under-8 tournament in Topoľčany at the age of 6 and then 2nd place at the under-7 tournament in Skalica.
Nela Hlucháňová won the under-18 doubles in Skalica and finished third in singles. Nelka Kusendová triumphed in the under-12 doubles in Banská Bystrica and added 3rd place in singles, thus consolidating her position among the best players in her category. Ema Lörinčíková took 2nd place in the under-10 singles in Bratislava and together with Nicole Urvayová they won 3rd place in doubles.
Andrej Adamović achieved international success, reaching the final of the ITF under-18 tournament in Trnava at the age of 14.
Lukas Lörinčík also represented Slovakia at the European Team Championships under-12. Slovakia defeated Switzerland 3:0 and Slovenia 2:1, losing narrowly 1:2 to the Czech Republic.
January confirmed that TKP has strength across age categories – from the youngest to the international level. The season is just beginning.
