This was fully confirmed in TKP – on the courts, among children, in matches and in the stories written by our players.
Our teams from the youngest to the youth managed difficult duels against TK Slovan and recorded valuable victories – including a sovereign result of 7:0 in the younger pupils category. The first match of our youngest under 7s was particularly pleasing, as they not only made their debut in the duel against Malinov, but also won 4:2. It was a valuable experience for everyone and a wonderful start to their tennis journey.Strong stories were also written in individual tournaments.
As many as 14 TKP players started at the Bratislava Under 18 Championships – the most in the club's history. Diana Kadlečíková won second place after a dramatic final, where she was only one ball away from the title. She also deservedly won the title of player of the month. Among the younger players, Nelka Kusendová shone, winning the doubles and being second in the singles under 10 years.
Lukas Lörinčík defended the title of vice-champion of Slovakia under 12 years, Oliver Kozel added silver in doubles and bronze in singles, and Max Lörinčík won the international tournament in Budapest. The end of May found him in Milan, where he presented himself among the best players in Europe.
The traditional Petržalský tennis for all tournament also had a great atmosphere, where 50 children from eight elementary schools came to play. Days like these remind us that tennis is not only about results, but also about the joy of the game and the friendships that remain.
We thank all the players, parents, coaches and fans. May was yours – and we are moving on.
