A fantastic success for Slovak tennis and the TK Petržalka club! Max Lörinčík won a silver medal at the prestigious Tennis Europe Junior Masters tournament in the under-14 category, which took place from October 22 to 26, 2025 in Monte Carlo.
This event brings together the eight best players in Europe who have accumulated the most points in the Tennis Europe ranking during the season. The player of his father and coach Ján Lörinčík played an excellent tournament - after three victories in the group over Austrian Freitag, German Calin and Frenchman Dakessian, he advanced to the final. There, after a 123-minute battle, he lost to the top seed, the Greek Rafael Pagonis, in sets 6:4, 4:6, 3:6.
With this result, Max went down in history as only the second Slovak to make it to the final of this prestigious tournament – before him, only Filip Horanský managed to do so. Among the former Masters winners, we can find names such as Rafael Nadal or Alexander Zverev, which only underlines the significance of this achievement.
"Max played an excellent tournament and showed great heart and determination in the final. The silver medal from the Masters is a fantastic result not only for Max, but also for our entire TKP club and Slovak tennis," said coach and father Ján Lörinčík.
