May at TK Petržalka was full of competitive matches, tournaments, new projects, and the joy of our players' successes. On and off the courts, it once again proved that tennis is not only about results, but also about experiences, friendships, and shared moments.
May brought some of the biggest successes of the season for TK Petržalka. The spotlight belonged to Lukas Lörinčík, who became the Slovak Summer Champion in the Under 12 category. He followed up this achievement with an outstanding performance at a top category Tennis Europe tournament in Koper, Slovenia, where he completed a winning double by claiming both the singles and doubles titles. Competing against some of Europe's best young players, he once again confirmed his exceptional talent.
Other TKP players also enjoyed a successful month. At the Bratislava Championships for older juniors, Oliver Kozel and Samuel Zuberec won medals in both singles and doubles and secured their places at the Slovak National Championships. Our youngest players also impressed at the Bratislava Under 10 Championships. Marko Patúc, Stela Ševcechová, and Ema Lörinčíková brought home silver medals in both singles and doubles events.
Team competitions continued throughout the month. Victories and defeats came hand in hand, but even more important were the valuable experiences, team spirit, and many high quality matches. We would like to thank all players, team captains, and parents for proudly representing our club.
May also belonged to children and schools. The 12th edition of Petržalka Tennis for Everyone once again brought together young athletes from local primary schools. We are also very pleased with our new Tennis Club After School program, which brings tennis directly into the school environment and gives children an active and enjoyable way to spend their afternoons.
For the first time in the club's history, we also introduced the Summer Tennis Day Camp in English, combining tennis, sports activities, and natural communication in the English language.
Thank you to all players, coaches, parents, partners, and supporters. May brought many reasons to celebrate, and we look forward to continuing in the same spirit throughout the summer season.
