November in TKP was a month that combined intensive preparation with the expectation of the first winter tournaments. Players of all categories worked on technique, speed and mental endurance and the club was full of energy that heralds the arrival of a new competitive phase.
The tournament break is over and in December we will see how hard work will be reflected in the results on home courts.
A strong part of this period was our special TKP Sparring Program, which in the current season already includes 56 players from 6 to 18 years old. The goal of the program is one and only – to help children and youth progress systematically, safely and in an environment that supports both talent and character. Sparring complemented group and individual training sessions and became a natural bridge between training and competition.
Despite the fact that most of the domestic scene had a November break, TKP was visible at the international level. Andrej Adamović represented Slovakia at the U16 World Championship in Chile, where he was the youngest player of the entire tournament. Together with teammates Leon Sloboda, Richard Križan and captain Miloslav Grolmus, the Slovak team took 10th place. A performance that confirms that Andrej has strong years ahead of him and can be a stable member of the national team.
We also send our greetings to Spain, where the Rafa Nadal Academy hosted a tournament for the best U12 players in Europe. TKP had its representative among the elite – Lukáš Lörinčík, who represented the club and Slovakia in excellent company. We keep our fingers crossed for the next matches.
The end of November is a time to sincerely thank all players, coaches and parents for the energy they put into the preparation. Now the most important thing begins – the home winter tournaments, where we will see what the long November training has brought.
