Our boys Max Lörinčík and Andrej Adamović returned from Spain with silver medals from the European Team Championships under 14 years of age.
Alongside Martin Čellár (Šport park Lúčky) and under the leadership of captain Martin Zathurecký, they achieved a result that the Slovak team has never achieved in this category before. Silver from Valencia is historically Slovakia's first medal from the European Championship final since the competition was established in 1979.
The road to the final was more than difficult - after victories over Luxembourg, Great Britain, the Czech Republic and Germany, they lost in the final against the home team, the Spaniards. In extreme heat exceeding 40 degrees, the boys showed not only tennis qualities, but also great determination and team spirit.
STZ President Miloslav Mečíř and Sports Director Vladimír Habas highlighted the team's exceptional performance and the fact that Slovakia can once again compete with the world's top. And TKP is there for it!
We are proud of Max and Andrej - two exceptional players who grew up on our courts. This success is not just about a medal. It is a message to all our young tennis players that the path to European podiums also leads from Petržalka.
The boys now face another challenge - the World Championships in Prostějov. We will keep our fingers crossed for them again. Because TKP is their tennis home. Their tennis family.
