The tournament season is over. The results are recorded, the experiences have been gathered, the emotions are slowly dying down. But while most of the world thinks that now is the time to rest – we know that the most important thing is starting right now...
It is not the time to put down the racket. It is the time to pick it up even more often. Right now, the next season is taking shape – in training, in fitness, in the details of technique, in the head and in the approach.
It is time to take stock, but most importantly, to plan. Every player knows what worked and what didn't. Every coach knows where to move. Some need more strength, others stability, some self-confidence, some peace. And some simply need time, patience and a few thousand more strokes before it starts to make sense.
The off-season is not a break. It is a space for growth – quiet, systematic, honest. Without the pressure of tournaments, without tables and results. This is where it is decided who will come into the new season stronger, faster, more resilient. Who will improve just a little – and who will change completely.
Training is now not an obligation, but an opportunity. Every stroke, every sprint, every exercise has meaning. It is an investment – in yourself, in the team, in the future.
And along with all this, we should not forget the most important thing – joy. The joy of the game, of movement, of friends, of being on the court. Because only those who truly love tennis will endure even when there are no spectators, applause or trophies.
So let's get started – fully, with gusto and with the goal of being better than yesterday.
The new season doesn't start in January. It starts right now.
